A Letter From Our Pastor! We are very excited to share great news with all of you! After an extensive search that included outreach to parents, teachers, our school advisory board and the Archdiocese of Boston, I, along with the other members of the candidate evaluation team, have selected the next principal of Saint Francis Xavier School. From his strong leadership presence, outstanding credentials, personable interactions and superior references, one candidate impressed the interviewers every step of the way. As we considered all of our goals for this role, and all of the feedback provided by many of you, we concluded that this candidate met or exceeded all of our requirements.
Mr. Charles Kroekel is an energetic, humble, and faithful leader who brings a wealth of experience and leadership skills to our school. Today, he accepted our offer to lead Saint Francis Xavier School to its next level of success. He will officially start as principal on Tuesday, August 8th.
Our new principal began his twenty-five-year career in the corporate education department of a fortune 500 company, Sunlife of Canada. Then, out of a strong commitment to his faith and a passion for teaching, he progressed through a series of roles in Catholic schools. Those roles started with five years teaching math for grades 6 – 8. From there, he quickly assumed increasing leadership roles, with the next twenty years spent as Assistant Principal, Department Chair and Principal for elementary and high schools in the New Jersey area. Recently, Mr. Kroekel relocated to Massachusetts for family reasons. We were fortunate to connect with him during this transition.
Mr. Kroekel holds a doctorate in education from Seton Hall University, a master’s degree in educational leadership, also from Seton Hall, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Temple University. He also holds many certificates in various elements of education.
Please join us in welcoming Mr. Kroekel to the Saint Francis Xavier family.
