At St. Francis Xavier School, our Learning Center is designed for students who have documented education plans established by their public school district. We collaborate with the classroom teachers to ensure that accommodations and modifications are implemented.Students receive support from the Special Education teacher inside the general education classroom as well as pull out sessions to the Learning Center, to work on the goals lined out in their education plans. The Learning Center has a separate setting for students to access flexible seating and a quiet environment to take assessments and to take standardized testing.
At some point, almost every child will have difficulty with academics. It should not be a cause for alarm and is often rectified when a child visits his or her teacher for extra help. All of our academic teachers are available for extra help. If you're seeing a pattern of poor grades or your child’s teacher has notified you that your child is struggling with a specific subject, it may be time to consider tutoring. St. Francis Xavier School will offer tutoring in all academic subjects.
