We look forward to the opportunity to meet with you and share the things that make our school a special place to learn and grow.
Environment
Your child will feel comfortable in our nurturing and supportive environment, and will get the attention he/she needs with our outstanding faculty and small class sizes. St. Francis Xavier School has an outstanding faculty. Our students are taught by certified, committed, compassionate and dedicated teachers who have the ability to touch the hearts and minds of children.
Education
We offer a rigorous curriculum that is designed to meet or exceed the curriculum established by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. We achieve excellent academic results by inspiring our students to be confident learners. Our students and faculty are held to high standards so that every child has the opportunity to reach his or her potential. Our students scored Above Average in both reading and math on the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) nationwide standardized achievement test.
Our graduates consistently receive acceptance and scholarships to many of the most competitive and prestigious high schools. All of the high schools speak highly of the “preparedness” of St. Francis Xavier students. Michael Brennan, Vice Principal of Student Affairs at BC High says - “St. Francis Xavier students are well-prepared for BC High’s competitive academic requirements. These students are very good test takers and are highly skilled in reading and writing.”
St. Francis Xavier School offers a Learning Center designed for students who have documented education plans established by their public school district. We collaborate with the classroom teachers to ensure that accommodations and modifications are implemented. We have implemented a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) to help provide targeted interventions for students who are struggling in the general education setting.
Faith
As a school, we integrate faith, life and culture as we emphasize not only what our students learn, but the kind of persons they are, and will become. Through religious education, liturgies, daily prayer, and acts of charity and service, our students are firmly grounded in the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. As a school, we work together as partners with the Church and family to help each of our children grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally and socially.
Technology
We offer state-of-the-art technology. Our computer lab and our classrooms provide each student with up-to-date technology for research and interactive learning. Filters, content controls and a responsible use policy help protect students while online and reinforce respect for boundaries.
Enrichment Activities
Enrichment Activities offered to encourage each student to discover their passions. Our students have an abundance of opportunity to explore their interests beyond the classroom. Our Fine Arts Department provides opportunities to explore music and drama. Our Before and After School program offers a variety of enrichment activities for all grades. We have interscholastic basketball programs for boys and girls in the Parochial School League.
Community Service
Community service is an integral part of our tradition. Previous Community Service Projects include:
